Doctor gives a lecture

Welcome to the world of CME! IMQ offers a number of Continuing Medical Education (CME) programs and services to support the lifelong learning of physicians and other healthcare professionals. Available CME programs include:

CME Accreditation

The Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) has designated IMQ/CMA California’s intrastate agency to accredit hospitals, ambulatory care clinics, specialty societies, health plans, and other health care organizations providing AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™.

Track My CME

IMQ offers physicians a convenient, voluntary service to record and verify the AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ required by the Medical Board of California (MBC) for re-licensure. In the case of a random audit, the MBC will accept verification of CME credits, with no additional documentation, for any physician using the CME Certification service.

CME Consultation Services

IMQ provides consulting services to organizations that wish to establish a CME program or improve an existing program. Physician surveyors demonstrate how compliance with IMQ/CMA Accreditation criteria and policies can serve as a foundation for managing a successful CME program.

Education and Resources for CME Accreditation

IMQ assists in achieving and maintaining CME accreditation by providing information, tools, and continuing education. IMQ Joint Provided CME Activities

Each year, IMQ enters into joint provided agreements, allowing non-accredited CME providers to award AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™ for CME activities. The organizations must meet IMQ criteria for joint provided activities, and pay is based on the complexity of the activities.
