IMQ Medical Staff Conference

Effective medical staff leadership is not easy.  Join many of California’s medical staff leaders and health care professionals at our annual Medical Staff Conference.  This one day course provides critical information needed to successfully lead a medical staff focused on improving quality of care and patient safety.   You will receive tips for compliance with accreditation and CMS requirements, gain insights  in addressing today’s credentialing challenges with the aging physician, and identify and understand current Peer Review Challenges.  

 

Medical staff “teams” are encouraged to participate in this program.

Stepping Up to Leadership Conference

Co-sponsored by IMQ and the UCSD PACE program, Stepping Up to Leadership is an interactive training course that helps physicians to learn best practices and explore creative approaches for resolving common problems encountered as a medical staff officer or department or committee chair. The course gives both experienced and new physician leaders the opportunity to gain practical knowledge and skills, and to learn the tools and techniques that are essential to effectively lead a medical staff.

Ambulatory Facilities Workshops

WHEN and WHERE:  You decide!

Ambulatory Facilities Workshops are designed for staff of ambulatory surgery and office-based surgery center staff. These highly interactive workshops present a great opportunity for you to ask all your questions, whether your facility is currently accredited or not!  IMQ offers Ambulatory Facilities Workshops twice a year. However, we may schedule additional workshops if enough people are interested in attending. To request a workshop in your area, fill out this Ambulatory Facilities Workshop Interest Form and return it to AmbulatoryInfo@imq.org.

Ethics & Professionalism for Physicians

WHEN:     May 13 - 14, 2017, August 5 - 6, 2017, November 4 - 5, 2017,   February 2018  
WHERE: The Hilton Garden Inn - LAX -  El Segundo

The IMQ Professionalism Program was developed to comply with the requirements established by the Medical Board of California for physicians, dentists, physician assistants, and dental assistants. Offered on a Saturday and Sunday, this heavily interactive course provides participants with a full understanding of the ethical and legal aspects of their own situation and knowledge about resources they can access to deal with future issues. The course moves participants from demonstration to practice and application by developing recognition of ethical issues and when they arise, clarifying legal matters, and providing resources to analyze situations and a model for decision making.
