(San Francisco, CA) On March 1, 2019, the Institute for Medical Quality (IMQ) received official word that it has been recognized and approved as an accrediting entity for Ambulatory Surgery Centers for Molina healthcare based in Washington State.
IMQ will be accepted, as are the other accrediting bodies, on applications for credentialing. The Accreditation process is one way to protect the public and provide safe venues for outpatient surgery. IMQ’s Ambulatory Accreditation process is an important part of this effort.
On April 29, 2016, the Institute for Medical Quality (IMQ) was officially recognized as a national accrediting organization for ambulatory surgical centers (ASCs) that participate in the Medicare or Medicaid programs. IMQ’s mission has always been to improve the quality of care for the people of California and beyond. Through the survey process, IMQ utilizes education, counseling, and direct involvement of practicing physicians to ensure this mission is fulfilled.
